How long is a CPR certification valid in Texas?

We provide a digital certification card (eCard) for AHA and HSI Classes and a laminated physical card for HSI Classes at no additional fee. We also send automatic email renewal reminders before your certification expires.
Does Texas OnSite CPR's training meet OSHA first aid requirements?
Yes. Our workplace First Aid CPR AED courses are designed to comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151, which requires employers to ensure that trained first-aid personnel are available when medical facilities are not in close proximity to the workplace. Our courses cover all OSHA-required first aid topics.
Is the Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course approved for Texas daycare licensing?
Yes. Our HSI Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course is approved by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and meets the minimum standards for licensed childcare centers under Chapter 746. Both our HSI and AHA pediatric courses satisfy Texas licensing requirements for daycare and childcare workers.
Does Texas OnSite CPR offer AHA BLS Provider CPR for healthcare staff?
Yes. We offer American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR for healthcare professionals including nurses, physicians, EMTs, medical assistants, and other clinical staff. AHA BLS is the gold standard for healthcare provider CPR and is required by most hospitals and medical facilities. We can bring the class to your clinic or office, or you can attend one of our scheduled classes in Fort Worth, Frisco, or Denton.
What is the difference between AHA BLS and HSI First Aid CPR AED?
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider is designed specifically for healthcare professionals and focuses on high-performance CPR techniques used in clinical settings. HSI First Aid CPR AED is designed for workplace first responders and covers a much broader range of first aid topics — injuries, illness, bleeding, burns, stroke, diabetic emergencies, and more — in addition to CPR and AED use. Most businesses choose the HSI course; healthcare employers typically require AHA BLS Provider CPR
What's Included in Onsite Training
What equipment does Texas OnSite CPR bring to onsite training sessions?
We bring everything needed for a complete training session: individual CPR manikins for each student (for groups up to 100), CPR pocket masks with new individually-wrapped sanitary mouthpieces, one AED training unit for every two students, a high-quality projector, portable screen, HDMI adapter for tapping into your A/V Equipment if needed and downloadable digital student manuals for HSI classes. If your facility has an AED installed, we can customize the training to familiarize your team with your specific model.
Do students practice on their own manikin during CPR training?
Yes. Texas OnSite CPR provides individual CPR manikins for every student in onsite training sessions. This means each person practices compressions, rescue breathing, and AED use on their own manikin — there is no sharing, which maximizes hands-on practice time and maintains high sanitation standards.
Do employees receive a physical certification card?
Yes. Upon completion of our HSI courses, each student receives a two-year certification in both digital (eCard) and laminated physical wallet-card format if requested. For AHA BLS courses, students receive an AHA eCard. We also send automatic email expiration reminders so employees know when to renew.
Can Texas OnSite CPR customize training for our specific AED model?
Yes. If your facility already has AEDs installed, we will customize the hands-on AED training portion of the course so that your employees practice on the same model they would use in an emergency. Texas OnSite CPR is also an authorized AED sub-distributor for CardioPartners and can supply new AEDs or replacement pads and batteries.

Scheduling & Logistics
How do I book onsite CPR training for my company?
To schedule onsite CPR or First Aid training for your company, call or text Texas OnSite CPR at 817-992-0585 or email cprtom@mac.com You can also submit a contact request at texasonsitecpr.com/contact-us/
What space or room setup is required for onsite training?
We need a room large enough for students to practice CPR with our manikins with adequate space around them. Chair and tables if available. For a class of 10–20 students, a standard conference room or break room works well. We bring our own projector and screen and HDMI adapters to tap into any onsite A/V equipment onsite so only standard power outlets are needed. We will discuss specific requirements when you book.
Can Texas OnSite CPR run multiple training sessions in one day?
Yes. For larger organizations that need to train many employees, we can run multiple sessions in a single day — typically a morning and afternoon session. This allows you to train employees in shifts without disrupting normal business operations. Contact us at 817-992-0585 or email CPRTom@mac.com to discuss scheduling for large groups.
How far in advance should I book onsite CPR training?
We recommend booking 1–2 weeks in advance for most onsite sessions. However, we can often accommodate last-minute requests depending on instructor availability. For large groups (50+ employees) or multi-session events, we suggest booking 3–4 weeks ahead. Call 817-992-0585 to check availability.
Add-On Courses
Does Texas OnSite CPR offer Bloodborne Pathogens training?
Yes. Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) training can be added to any onsite First Aid CPR AED session for an additional $25 per student. The BBP add-on extends the class by 30 minutes (total 4.5 hours). This training is required for many healthcare workers and is recommended for any employee whose job may involve exposure to blood or bodily fluids.
Does Texas OnSite CPR offer Active Shooter training?
Yes. We offer AVIRT (Active Shooter / Active Threat) training as an add-on to any onsite CPR session for an additional $40 per student plus 2 extra hours. This is highly recommended for schools, daycares, hospitals, and public venues.
Can we add Infant CPR to our company's onsite training?
Yes. Infant CPR can be added to any onsite training session for an additional $5 per student. This is particularly recommended for healthcare providers, pediatric offices, daycares, and parents. The Infant CPR module covers chest compressions, rescue breathing, and choking relief for infants.
