A Skill That Could Save a Life

Do you want to be the type of person who sees a disaster and has the skills necessary to offer help and potentially save lives, or simply be the type of person who can call for help while you stand by and watch?

CPR training classes provide the skills and knowledge that allow you to step in and take control of a potentially harmful situation involving family members, disaster victims or even strangers. You’ll be prepared to offer assistance when it’s most necessary without hesitation and full confidence in your ability to make a difference.

According to the American Heart Association, only 30% of citizens can correctly perform CPR. Even more alarming is the fact that 88% of cardiac arrests occur in the home, so the life you save would most likely be that of a family member.

Certification Levels

For general CPR training, our classes will cover the basics of performing CPR on adults and older children. All of our classes will also offer AED training which will cover the basics of using an electronic defibrillation unit on a heart attack victim.

Professional level classes are designed specifically for health care professionals and other emergency response type positions like lifeguards, ski patrol and EMT’s. These classes will cover the basic techniques mentioned above while also showing students how to insert tubes to keep airways open and using artificial breathing apparatuses.

Once certification has been obtained, it will be valid for a two year period. Once expired, re-certification can be earned by properly demonstrating the correct techniques to a trained instructor.

Where to Get Certified

You’ll want to make sure the instructors at your desired training center are American Heart Association and Health & Safety Institute (HSI) CPR and First Aid certified. Texas OnSite CPR trains 1,000’s of people each year and have classes for any type of schedule that should fit your needs.

When training a larger group, we will  offer on-site training to help you team learn in a collaborative environment. Teamwork and continuity among your medical staff is extremely important and this is a great way to bring new team members onboard together.

Whether you’re a health care provider, babysitter, lifeguard or someone who wants to have the ability to make a difference, CPR training is one of the most worthwhile skills you can develop. Simply knowing you are in a position to help others when they most need it can be one of the most fulfilling emotions you can experience.
